The last time Ron Berti went under the surgical knife was at age 5 to get his tonsils removed. 67 years later, he was back, but for something more concerning. Ron underwent a radical prostatectomy and had to stay in the hospital for a few nights following the procedure.

According to Ron, all of the Providence nurses and staff did an excellent job attending to him post-surgery, but one nurse, Dawn Larson, RN, stood out. “Dawn’s caring nature put me at ease,” said Ron. “She took the time to answer all of my questions and thoroughly explained what I needed to do to recover.”

Ron is making great progress since his procedure. “I attribute this not only to the skill of my surgeon, Dr. Daniel Janoff, but to Dawn for helping me get off on the right foot from the start and for being there for me.”
